<div>On Sunday, September 1 the Char Bar was shaken by a drunk driver that crashed into our entrance, causing serious damage to the structure of our building.

<div>We are incredibly grateful that no one was injured in the incident, which could have been catastrophic during peak hours in our lively and beloved neighborhood.

<div>Unfortunately, until the damages to our historic building are repaired, we are unable to safely open to the public, leaving 10 incredible bartenders and barbacks without a job. Our goal is to get everyone through this time and to come back stronger than before. 
</div>
