HELP THE CARTERS STAY IN VICTOR

Donyell and Anthony Carter need our help and that's what I'm asking you for today. Donyell is a single mom. Her son Anthony is a happy, loving boy who has special needs. About a year and a half ago Donyell began experiencing health issues that doctors believe are being caused by an auto-immune disorder. Unfortunately the docs have not been able to make an official diagnosis which has made it impossible for Donyell to collect disability benefits. She has been forced to miss long stretches of work and because there is no official diagnosis she is not being paid for that sick time. Donyell continues to work despite being in pain much of the time.
On top of her own health problems, Anthony is now dealing with health issues of his own. In February 2017 he was diagnosed with diabetes. Because of his special needs Anthony could not be treated in the hospital and Donyell was forced to stay home with him until his sugar levels were regulated. That was more unpaid time off from work. Despite Donyell's efforts to keep working and providing for Anthony this has all lead to the Carters being on the verge of being evicted from the apartment they've lived in for the past six years in Victor. If that happens, Donyell will be forced to leave the state and leave behind all of the wonderful services Anthony receives because he lives in our community.
I know we can keep this from happening. Donyell is working with her employer to redefine her role at work and move back to full time. Until then she needs our help. I have set a goal of raising $4,000 dollars to help pay back rent, pay her July rent and rent for August and cover some expenses that Donyell's landlord is asking for.
