Help the Bonet Family Fight Cancer

In February 2013, Marcie was diagnosed with brain cancer.  She had surgery to remove as much of the tumor as the doctors felt was safe, including half of her right temporal lobe.  Because of the type of tumor and the extent of its growth, removing it all was not an option.  They have known that chemotherapy and radiation would be part of her treatment and the doctors have been closely monitoring her tumor.  

After her most recent scan, the consensus from all her doctors was that further treatment is now necessary due to new growth.   

On Monday, June 4th she will begin chemotherapy.  It will involve six 42-day cycles, lasting about 8 1/2 months. 

Marcie educates their three daughters at home and Nelson is the sole provider for the family.  Knowing that the next few months will be a challenging time for their family we wanted to help alleviate some of the financial burdens.   We are raising these funds to help cover the out of pocket medical expenses, which at this time is estimated to be $20,000 for just the six chemo cycles associated with Marcie's treatment, not including any future treatment or scans.
