Help the Bohn Family with Medical Expenses

The lovely lady in this picture is Katie Bohn. Katie has been my co-worker and friend for the past 16 years. She is married  to Scott Bohn and has a wonderful eight-year-old son named Christian. Her mother, Draga, passed away in January after a five year battle with dementia. With the help of her husband and son, Katie was her mother’s primary caregiver all five years. Katie fed, changed, bathed and dedicated her life to caring for her mother, all while holding down a full-time job and working to be the best wife and mother she possibly could be. I can also attest to the fact that her work ethic never slipped and assignments were always turned in on time. Katie is an amazing friend. She puts everyone before herself. Literally everyone. She is kind and hilarious. I think I speak for most of her friends and family when I say Katie is the funniest person I know and her sense of humor is unparalleled.




In February, Katie started to experience bad headaches and waves of dizziness. She has been diagnosed with blood clots in both her right leg and brain. She was put on blood thinners. At her most recent appointment, she was told that the clot in her brain had grown and surgery is necessary as the blood thinner is not doing it’s job.




Those of us who know Katie well know that she attempts to do everything herself and never asks for help with anything.  I would like to help ease her mind with the medical expenses of this procedure. I would also kindly request that if you cannot donate money, please ask the family in what other ways you can be of assistance. Katie has always been there for others. I feel now is the time to support her in any way possible.
