The Barnett's time of need...
"Well the first days are the hardest days don't you worry anymore..."
Hi Everyone – As most of you probably know by now who are reading this, our friend Scott ‘Nappy’ Barnett recently had a 'minor' heart attack. (I put 'minor' in quotes, as it's certainly an oxymoron) It was such a blessing that he was close to being able to get help, (not deep in a dead show parking lot for example) and as such he is now at home resting and recuperating.
This said, upon further examination of Scott in the hospital, the doctors saw rather quickly that due to his particular circumstances, Scott needed not just angioplasty, (which is of course serious enough as it is) but actually needed full blown Open Heart Surgery. We are all SO THANKFUL to the skilled doctors who operated on him, and that our ‘Nappy’ is back at home now, resting relatively comfortably. :)
In all seriousness, this of course has been a VERY scary and trying time for the entire family. We as his ‘extended family’ now have an opportunity to Open OUR Hearts, and help the Barnett’s in this time of need. Scott will be out of work for the foreseeable future as his body mends, and Sandy is juggling work as well as holding down the fort as she always does so incredibly well. This said, and as their bills also mount outside of their insurance, finances are strained. I can tell you this was not easy for Scott or Sandy to admit as they are such givers always, and thus was shared only after some prodding.
I KNOW that each one of you reading this has been blessed in a number of ways by Scott, Sandy and their family, as have I. Whether it was always their giving attitude with their time or money, or their smiles, hugs and laughter over the years, we have all been touched by them in our own special way. Wouldn’t it be nice to relax their financial burden a little, so the family can fully just focus on Scott’s health. As such, this page has been set up to help them navigate the financial waters a little easier right now.
All donated funds will go straight to the Barnett’s to help them as their bills and loss of Scott’s income begin to take a financial toll. Remember that even $5 or $10 can help make a difference. Just share as your heart leads you.
