My name is Anwar Jamil Ramadan Al-Ba’, and before the war, I lived a life built on hard work, hope, and dedication. I was an English teacher and the proud owner of a small private education center. Teaching was not just my job — it was my passion and the way I supported my family and helped others shape their futures.
But in a single moment, everything was taken away.
The war destroyed our home, my school, and the life I spent years building. What once was a place of learning and laughter turned into rubble and silence.
I am not alone in this pain. My sister, Rania Jamil Ramadan Al-Ba’, a lawyer, also lost everything — the law office she worked tirelessly to build, her dreams, and her stability.
Our father, a 66-year-old agricultural engineer, dedicated his entire life to serving his community. He owned a small company that produced agricultural medicines and worked with humanitarian agricultural organizations to help local farmers. When the war came, he lost his land, his company, and all his employees — everything he had built through decades of honest work.
Now, at an age when he should be resting and proud of his life’s work, he faces complete loss and uncertainty.
Our family home, a seven-story building, once filled with warmth, memories, and laughter, was completely destroyed. Even our car, our only means of transportation, is gone.
Today, we are left with nothing but hope — hope that we can rebuild, hope that we can find safety, and hope that kind hearts around the world will help us start over.
