The Wilson family in Israel

Along the hillsides of the Holy City of Tsfat resides a beautiful family. I first met the Wilsons nearly five years ago when I was visiting Israel. When put in touch about Shabbos accommodations, I was welcomed with warmth and kindness I didn’t expect. I was even invited to prolong my stay in order to experience more beauty and spirituality of the Holy City of Tsfat. I certainly didn't mind sharing the living room space with their two sons in exchange for such an opportunity. One of the many important lessons I took away from my stay with the Wilson family is not only the great responsibility we have to take care of one another, but also the joy we receive from giving.
During the upcoming Purim Holiday, we have a great opportunity to help the needy in our communities and beyond. My initial desire to help the Wilson family actualized in a campaign 2 years ago; Thank G-d, we raised $828 and provided them with much needed financial relief.
Last year we set our goal at $1,200 and with your generosity and Hashem’s Help, surpassed it with an incredible $1,679 in charitable donations.
This year, our goal is $2,500. Together with your kindness and my family’s pledge, we are hoping to reach and surpass our goal yet again!
With Pesach around the corner and the challenges of trying to meet the basic needs of 9 children, we reach out for your hand in generosity and partnership.
We want to have all the funds collected prior to the Purim Holiday and plan to have the money available on Purim in order to help fulfill one of the Mitzvahs of the day - helping the poor.
If you are not able to contribute prior to Purim, that’s ok! We welcome any donations after March 1, 2018. All such funding will be made available to the Wilson family regardless of your contribution date.
