Help Terri Meyer with Medical Expenses
Donation protected
Terri has worked as a nurse for over 30 years in large and small hospitals. She has helped many people during illnesses and after accidents. This summer Terri had a fall at home that resulted in damage to her left foot. In July, the foot had to be amputated as the damage was irreparable.
Since the fall, she has been unable to work, yet medical expenses continue to mount. To make matters worse, due to what we can best describe as miscommunication, Terri has been without medical insurance during this time. Family has been filing paperwork and looking for resources to get medical assistance (Medicare/Medicaid/etc.) and Disability, but the system moves slowly. Terri is running out of resources to pay for her own care, utilities, and other needs.
In recent years, Terri was diagnosed with both diabetes and multiple sclerosis. She has been managing her own care until this fall. Now she needs our help.
Terri needs a prosthesis which is estimated to cost around $25,000. Her bathroom needs modified to include a walk-in tub, and other parts of her home need modified as well. We are estimating another $10,000 for these renovations. She also has many unpaid medical bills from this summer, and sadly has been turned over to a collection agency.
Our goal is to raise $50,000 to help her stay in her home and obtain the assistance necessary for her recovery. As a nurse, Terri has given to others her entire life. Please consider donating funds to help Terri during her time of need so that she can recover and stay in the place has called home for over 15 years.
