Help Teri Begin a New Life

My name is Teri Clarke and I am in need of your help.

I am a genderqueer, Queer woman who left her support system in New Jersey in December 2021 to assist her father in taking care of her mother in Florida.

This arrangement has proven to be extremely detrimental to me and my mental health.

I battle several types of depression (bipolar II and major depressive disorder among them) as well as CPTSD and general anxiety. I am currently balancing graduate school at Lesley University with freelance editing and authenticity reading, but not bringing in enough income to satisfy Florida's minimum standard for the security deposit and savings in order to move into a new place.

This is where your help is greatly needed.

Despite the difficult relationship with my mother, I will not be leaving the state or the area. My goal is to stay within 20 minutes of my parents so I can still be of service while having a space of my own to take care of myself.

The goal of this GoFundMe is the provide a security deposit and first and last month's rent. The amount needed is higher than normal because of the effect hurricanes have had on the Florida housing market.
