Hello my name is Temple and I am almost 54 years old. I have been battling Gastroparesis since 2009. I have been in and out if the Hospital since January. My last admission date was 2/24. I had surgery to remove blockage and they removed 12 inch’s of intestines and place a GJ feeding tube. Things were going great an I was on the verge of being discharged and then my fever of 104.8 and they found that I had pneumonia. Flash forward to yesterday my stats dropped and could not get my oxygen level up so I was moved to the ICU.

While this is going on, my husband Daved who is battling GIST cancer, is rushed to the ER and has an infection in his gallbladder but they couldn’t remove it because of the high risk of the gallbladder rupturing and the positioning of the GIST tumors.  So they placed a drainage tube to remove fluid and will set up his surgery very soon.

The reason for this GoFundMe is that I have not been able to work since January and have no sick time to cover my pay. With the missing income and increased medical expenses for Daved and myself, it is putting a strain on our household. Plus I am not sure of my discharge date. We are not a family that normally ask for help but we know when it is time to ask for help.
