<div>On January 3, 2023, Teddy Higgins, your friend and colleague, was given the unexpected diagnosis of Oligodendroglioma, a rare form of brain cancer. Roughly 3% of brain tumors are oligodendrogliomas, a tumor that can rarely be removed through surgery and only fought through treatments.

<div>Teddy will soon begin four weeks of daily radiation, followed up by six weeks of intense chemotherapy in the hopes of recovery. And while this diagnosis would be challenging for anyone, this comes at a difficult time.

<div>At 41 years of age, Teddy is the breadwinner for his two sons (Heath 9, Van 7), daughter (Bowie 4) and wife Sadie. Teddy will be out of work during this hard time and Sadie lost her job just days before the diagnosis came in. Furthermore, Teddy just finished re-building their dream home throughout the pandemic, and they moved in just three months before the diagnosis. Now, their dream home will need to be re-fitted to ensure Teddy is comfortable and able to fight this battle with all of his energy.

<div>Teddy is the type of person that would immediately drop what he was doing to help you out. No matter the time or the place, Teddy was always willing to help and go the extra mile.  All with a smile and a "don't worry about it". As his neighbor and friend, he helped me and my family countless times.
