Help Team Summit go to Nationals!

Who we are:
A group of parents from Summit Martial Arts in Calgary, Alberta - dedicated to raising funds for our martial arts athletes on Team Summit.

Our Mission:
On February 22, 2020 our students attended the Western Provincial Open in Edmonton.  This competition is a NationalQualifier for the World Karate Commission.  Our students were chosen as members of Team Alberta for the 2020 World Karate Commission Canadian Championships. We are pleased to announce that 8 of our students (ranging from 9-16, boys and girls) qualified for this prestigious competition.  We need your help to get our students there.  The competition takes place on May 15-17 in Ottawa, Ontario.

Please help us make the dreams of these talented athletes a reality.  We are looking to raise funds to help offset the cost of airfare, hotel, Team Alberta uniforms, tournament fees and additional training.  Your donation is greatly appreciated  by the students, their families and our school.  With your support, these students will have the opportunity to compete on a national stage.  We appreciate your support of our martial arts athletes!

About the school:

We are Summit Martial Arts, a small, family run school in south east Calgary.  Our school started with humble beginnings in 2014, working out of a community center with no mats, equipment, or funding.  Over the past 6 years, the school has established a solid reputation in the Alberta martial arts community by adhering to tradition and displaying the utmost sportsmanlike conduct.  We pride ourselves on maintaining a high standard of learning for our students and teaching the principals of courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self control and indomitable spirit.

Summit Martial Arts has been voted 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 Top Martial Arts School in Calgary.  We are home to the 2014 TAFISA World Martial Arts Games Champions, the 2016 W.O.M.A.A. World Martial Arts Games Silver Medalist for Sparring, and many local Grand Champion winners.
