Help Tazer Keep Their Housing

Donation protected
I'm a queer non-binary femme of color and lifelong resident of West/SW Philly. I have given my life's energy to building and supporting my community, and I am now facing eviction.

In 2018, I left my job at The Attic Youth Center due to extreme work overload and burnout driven by the organization's racism, transphobia, and chronic mistreatment of staff. Since leaving The Attic, it has taken me significant time to restore my wellness and to find sustainable employment. I've had a few jobs here and there but remained underemployed - to the point of being unable to pay rent and am now facing eviction.

I've lived at my current apartment since 2014. It's my first apartment since moving out on my own. It is my home and my space of healing, ritual, and restoration. Throughout all that has happened with The Attic, this apartment has been my landing ground. I love my neighborhood and the community that I live in.

If I lose this space, not only do I lose housing but with rising rent in the area, I risk not being to afford my own apartment in the neighborhood I grew up in again.

Between January's rent and a past due balance from previous months in which I could only make partial payments due to being underemployed, my landlord is threatening me with eviction. I've been unable to find any rental assistance programs that can help me before I receive an eviction notice - but I'm hoping I can make a payment before that happens. I'm putting this call out to ask for your support - whatever you are able to do - in helping me pay back what I owe and to make January rent. I truly appreciate y'all support with every share and donation.
