Dear Family and Friends,
I am so grateful to say that I have been given the opportunity to study abroad at The British American Drama Academy (Midsummer in Oxford Program). I am extremely excited to embark on this journey in London!
Near completion of my junior year as an Acting Major to receive this degree of training would be the pinnacle of my acting training throughout my college experience.
On a daily basis classes are highly structured, while focusing on various techniques in Shakespeare, Voice, Movement/Physicality, Modern and Masterclasses. The faculty are highly trained professionals from top American graduate programs, and is run in association with Yale School of Drama.
Throughout my career, I plan to use my acting as a political force. It is significant to me to embody various characters while being able to fill the necessary void within society.
Being allowed the opportunity to immerse myself in a new culture while developing the necessary techniques for my career would be a blessing! I am leaning on the shoulders of former/current exceptional actors such as Chadwick Boseman, an alum of both Howard University and The British American Drama Academy. I believe that is my obligation to continue the legacy.
Though I am extremely grateful to be one of the few selected into the program. Unfortunately due to the high cost of attendance for The Midsummer in Oxford Program, I need $5,000 in order to embark on this new journey. Your contributions will help alleviate program cost, tuition fees, housing and airfare.
