Earlier this month, a part of the North Dundas community suffered both a business and personal loss.
Winchester Kennels, a local boarder & groomer, has been a victim of theft.
Among the things taken: Taunya's personal & business operating funds, as well as some jewelry.
I can tell you that this is a crime that has a huge impact on those involved, not just Taunya (for having her personal possessions taken)but if they are unable to stay open, due to the loss, for the staff who work their and their clients.
Our family has used Winchester Kennels' services for 2 years and have never regretted the decision. They supported our family when our home burnt down and have always been welcoming.

"Sometime between Sunday January 10th and Thursday January 14th, someone came into Taunya's and took things that weren’t theirs.
They technically only took one thing, actually: a safe. The safe is 0.5 cubic feet in size, so the size of a breadbox, and it wasn’t bolted to the floor or the wall. It is a coded-entry safe, so the only way the person can get into it is to destroy it.
The most disturbing part of this theft is who did it: someone who knows me. On the days in question, I was not at home (although my vehicle was) and there were periods of time during the day when staff weren’t here, either. Only people who were aware of my friend’s serious illness that had taken me away from my house knew the office was unattended and that there was a portable lock-box inside.
Nothing else in the house was removed or disturbed."
