<div>We are a family from Gaza. The war took everything from us. It destroyed our beautiful home, which we worked hard to build. It destroyed memories, the past, and the future. We lost our car, which we had always dreamed of buying, and above all, our office was destroyed, where my husband and I work in interior design. There was nothing left. We have a source of livelihood. We have nothing left in Gaza. Imagine losing everything at once like this?! Can you bear it?

<div>When the war began, my sister, Tasneem, was seven months pregnant. She suffered a lot during the last part of her pregnancy from intense fear, bombing, and a lack of medicines and vitamins. In November, she gave birth to her first child, and we named him Little Hamoud, who added joy to us in the midst of destruction. However, Tasneem suffers from raising her child inside the tent. Since there is no hygiene or clean water, and there is also a struggle to provide him with milk, doesn’t little Hammoud deserve to live a decent life like the rest of the children in the world?!

<div> Der kleine Hamudi erblickte am 11.11.2023 das Licht der Welt. Gut einen Monat nachdem dieser schreckliche Krieg in Gaza ausbrach. Sein liebevoll hergerichtetes Zuhause (siehe Foto) hat er nie kennenlernen dürfen, denn inzwischen ist dort nichts außer <em>Schutt und Trümmer</em>. Dass eine Tante und ihr Sohn bei der<strong> Bombardierung</strong> ihres Hauses ums Leben kamen, weiß der kleine Mann noch nicht. Ebensowenig dass die 14-jährige Cousine das nur mit Amputationen, Entstellungen und schwersten Verbrennungen überlebt hat, was bei der inzwischen völlig zerstörten medizinischen Infrastruktur eine Behandlung im Ausland unabdingbar macht.

<div> Stattdessen sitzt er mit seiner Familie mütterlicherseits - Papas gesamte Familie hat diesen <strong>Krieg</strong> leider nicht überlebt - mitten in Gaza fest. Wie viel der kleine Hamudi von unserer <em>prekären Lage</em> mitbekommt, lässt sich nur schwer sagen. Aber ein Alltag aus Hunger, Angst, Verzweiflung und <strong>Hoffnungslosigkeit</strong> geht sicher an niemandem spurlos vorbei.

<div> Auch wenn es schier ausweglos erscheint, unsere Familie aus dieser Hölle herauszuholen, habe ich beschlossen, alles dafür zu tun. Jede noch so kleine <strong>Spende</strong> ist für mich und meine Familie nicht nur ein Licht, das uns den Weg aus der Hoffnungslosigkeit weist. Es ist vor allem ein Zeichen, dass es vielleicht doch noch nicht zu spät ist, in diesen Zeiten unter <em>unmenschlichen Bedingungen</em> an die Menschlichkeit zu glauben...
