Tasha was born deaf 13 years ago. Through the miracle of modern technology and through the help of my previous company that I worked for (Thiess) she was able to have cochlear implant surgery in Perth Western Australia with Dr Marcus Atlas.
Unfortunately now her left side cochlear (external processor) is broken and her right side is about to fail and we cant afford to purchase a new one without support from friends and family at this stage.
Without these Cochlears she wont be able to hear at all and impacting her schooling and overall development.
If you can help in anyway it would go a long way to get Tasha an upgrade to new Cochlears in Singapore or Perth and help her hear properly again.
I have tried to save for these speech processors but unfortunately cannot come up with the required funds.
Pricing for these cochlear hearing aids are about $13,662 AUD/each around $27,324AUD for both sides.
I have thought hard about doing this gofundme campaign and was against it, however Tasha's learning is more important at this stage.
The main reason for this fund is our insurance cannot cover the cost of replacement Choclear implants and or Accessories.
Your help will be much appreciated and really help a young girl to hear properly again!
