Help Tasha Complete Her Doctorate

Hello, my name is Tasha Russell. However you made your way to this page, I thank you! I am grateful you have taken an interest in me and my journey. I've been teaching for the past twenty-six years. My undergraduate degree is special education. I have a Masters in Instructional Technology and was admitted into the National Honor Society .


I'm fundraising, with a goal to reach $10,000, to complete my doctorate. I need three courses to complete my program. I started my doctorate in 2009, excited to open a school of my own once I finished. However, my mother was diagnosed with both breast and ovarian cancer, as well as dementia. I stopped working on my dissertation and took intermittent leaves of absence from work. While caring for my mother, I was diagnosed with Lupus and I have reached the aggregate amount for student loans to complete my degree.


My mother was a woman of faith and knew that I would one day receive my doctorate as she often called me Doc, as a term of endearment. With your help to raise the money needed to finish my doctorate, I would like to complete my degree in honor of my mother who passed away after being in hospice for two years in September 2020.
