Tareah Moore is a 37 year old passionate and beautiful woman. She has always taken challenges head on and her commitment to staying as positive as she can is a true inspiration.
Tareah is raising two amazing children, Alyssia, 15 and Aidan, 11. Alyssia is a rising freshman and budding artist with a natural gift of creativity. Aidan is charming, energetic and enjoys playing sports. Her children are her pride and joy, the reason she is alive and fighting. They have been right by their Mom’s side through this painful and heartbreaking journey.
Tareah is a licensed phlebotomist as well as a Certified Nursing Assistant, working the past years caring for elderly patients in a skilled nursing facility. Her patients adore her and the special time and attention she gives. Tareah is remarkably outgoing, caring and has always enjoyed helping others.
At the age of 14, Tareah painstakingly lost her younger brother to cancer, he was just 11 years old. She saw firsthand how debilitating cancer is.
In 2016, just 33 years old, Tareah began her journey with breast cancer. She was diagnosed at stage 0 and just a week later, increased to stage 1. This is a very aggressive form of cancer. With this heartbreaking diagnosis, she bravely underwent surgery, having a double mastectomy followed by one month of radiation. The surgery caused her permanent and painful nerve damage in both arms. Despite this, Tareah continued on after radiation, returning to work to help others.
Nearly three years after her first diagnosis, and cancer free, Tareah found a new lump. It was in the tissue that remained from her mastectomy. This is where her second journey with breast cancer began, just weeks before her 37th birthday. Testing showed a tumor on her chest wall as well as multiple infected lymph nodes in her armpit. Now, Tareah has stage 3 breast cancer. She bravely underwent surgery to have the tumor and lymph nodes removed as well a chemotherapy port put in. Tareah started her first chemo treatment just days later, with minimal rest and recovery from her surgery.
Two weeks later she had a very dangerous MRSA infection in her chemo port, so it was urgently removed, and a new port put in on September 3. She is now back on schedule with her chemotherapy sessions and pushing through the painful and exhausting side effects..
Tareah always tries to hold a positive outlook and keep fighting to beat this cancer, for herself, her kids and for her brother’s honor. With the multiple surgeries Tareah has endured, her nerve damage, chemotherapy side effects and expected radiation, she is unable to return to work for at least 1 year. Due to her lack of income, Tareah is in desperate need of financial assistance during this tremendously difficult time.
All donations go directly to Tareah to use for her medical bills and living expenses. She has always been, and continues to be, a loving and helpful person. Let’s return that kindness and help her in her time of need. Every penny, share and prayer count.
Please keep Tareah in your thoughts and prayers. God Bless.
