<div>We found this young elephant abandoned in the woods, just chained to a tree. She was a logging elephant, but her logging harness rubbed a huge mass into her side, which forced her into an early retirement. So, her owner has abandoned her out in the middle of the woods. She is chained to a tree, stuck out there all day and night by herself. It's super sad.

<div>The good news is that we tracked down her owner and made a deal with him to buy her freedom at a heavily discounted price due to her medical issues. Plus, her owner just wants to get out of the elephant business itself.

<div>If we secure the funds to buy her freedom, we can move her to Mandalao Elephant Rescue. There, she will have 300 acres to roam chain-free. She will never be put in chains again, and she will never be hit with a bull hook again. She will simply get to live out the rest of her days as a happy elephant.
