The 813 Soldiers formerly known as the (South Tampa Soldiers) started 3 years ago by Kate Succes, Breon Succes, Bruno Frauenfeld, and Carlos Zayas with the intention of giving at risk youth, community and surrounding area kids a chance to stay off the streets and learn football at an elite level. They go into the inner city looking for kids of all kinds but also go outside the city as well. They run a spring football program that has caught the attention of the Tampa residents and all of Hillsborough county high schools. Residents and high schools come with kids who need an outlet to become better as an individual and become a better player. This organization focuses on character and accountability but also develop elite football players. In the teams first three years they have had 2 conference championship appearances and also 1 regional championship appearance. Most boys that go through this program have life changing experiences and almost all become starters at there high schools of choice. Every year a financial goal needs to met for the purchase of equipment, field, travel, uniform, and registration cost. Hopefully the community, family , and friends of this organization can come together and help these boys get what they need.
