<div>[image description: image is a photo of Tamara's crappy back. L5 and S1 disk degeneration, partial fusion and bone flaring (I think that’s what it's called) the disks are touching closest to the vertebrae, with a very minor amount of disk left. Photo also shows healthy L3, L4 and L4, L5.]

<div>Hello friends, I have recently been diagnosed with an L5 S1 degenerative disk disease and partial fusion. This has been an ongoing problem for years now with many miss diagnosis. Everything from just needing to exercise more, take b12 and use some Advil and Tylenol. You know the typical response to pain.

<div>My doctor finally sent me for an xray and she was shocked to see just how bad my back really is. We are currently on a pain management journey, which isn’t going great. I can’t walk more than half a block without sharp shooting pains in my spine that cause me to crumple. I’m also experiencing severe pain down my legs with walking.

</div>
<div>To help eliminate the strain on my back while working more than 8 hours a day (lots of volunteer work too that keeps me at my desk) I have decided to upgrade my work chair to something ergonomic and more suitable to my current reality.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>these chairs cost upwards of 700.00 Canadian dollars, I’ve set the goal at 1000 to cover the portion that gofundme takes and shipping and taxes. It might not be enough still but I can contribute to the chair as well! Anything over the goal will go towards back braces and other fun tools to hopefully help me get back to normal.

<div>I mentioned on my post that I am a private contractor so this is not covered by an employer. It’s also not work related so WCB won’t help.
</div>

</div>
<div>thanks again for your support!
</div>
<div>love you all xxx
