Help Tam Ben Fight Lymphoma

Tam Ben, an up-and-coming artist from Nigeria whom we featured on the Talent
Showcase Africa Playlist and was introduced to the Djooky Music Awards where he eventually signed a record deal with Djooky Records, reached out to me for help. Unfortunately, he is critically ill and shared distressing images of his condition, leaving me heartbroken.

Tam Ben was diagnosed with Lymphoma in October of last year, and when we
spoke on WhatsApp, his condition was critical. He reported having only 50%
functionality on the left side of his face, arm, and leg, and experiencing difficulties with
his vocal cords. He also shared that he suffered from severe nose bleeds daily,
resulting in significant blood loss. He required regular blood clot removal and a few
blood transfusions.

His most recent diagnosis has revealed that he has what is essentially stage 4 cancer.
The clinical information below goes into greater detail.

Clinical Information

A twenty-seven-year-old with advanced nasopharyngeal malignancy; left lateral neck
swelling for one year. Painless, nil nasal blockage. Clinical diagnosis of advanced
nasopharyngeal malignancy.

Macroscopic description

Two pieces of greyish-white tissue.

Microscopic description

Section of the nasopharyngeal biopsy stromal infiltration by nests of anaplastic
epithelial cells invested within a background of mature lymphocytes. The tumour cells
have vesicular nuclei, single to multiple prominent nucleoli, and eosinophilic cytoplasm.
There are atypical mitotic figures. Features are those nasopharyngeal carcinomas, non-
keratinizing undifferentiated type.

GoFundMe Campaign

Tam Ben needs your help. His current situation is dire, and my thoughts are with him
during this difficult time. We’ve set up a GoFundMe campaign to raise $4,000 for his
chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
