Hey friends and supporters,
I’m Marleen, and I have a heartfelt request for your support. My close friend Taib Magatto, whom I have known since my volunteer year in Kampala, Uganda, in 2015, needs urgent assistance.
In 2018, Taib suffered a terrible accident when a matatu (small bus) struck the motorcycle he was riding. The impact fractured two ribs near his heart and his right femur. Thankfully, a surgery allowed an implant to be placed in his leg, preserving his ability to walk.
However, recently, Taib has been experiencing significant pain in his leg, indicating that the implant now needs to be removed. This essential surgery will cost around 18 million Ugandan Shillings (approximately 4,600 Euros), an amount Taib is currently unable to afford, as there is no national health care in Uganda.
With your support, Taib will be able to undergo this surgery and regain his ability to walk—and even dance—without pain.
Greetings and thanks for your support,
