I'm reaching out on behalf of my dear friend Syionna, who urgently needs our support. She’s currently facing an unexpected and unfair financial burden of $5,300 due to an eviction from an apartment she no longer lived in.

Several months ago, Syionna made the difficult but necessary decision to leave a toxic and emotionally draining living situation. Although she moved out of the apartment, her name remained on the lease because her housing partner refused to leave or cooperate in removing her. Despite this, there was a verbal agreement that he would find a new roommate to take her place. Unfortunately, that never happened.

Fast forward to now—Syionna was suddenly informed that “they” (referring to both of them, even though she hasn’t lived there for months) have been evicted, and she is being held responsible for $5,300 in back rent and fees.

Syionna had no idea things had reached this point. She trusted her former roommate to uphold their agreement, but now she's being dragged into a financial crisis she did everything to avoid.

She left that apartment for her mental health and safety, and now she’s facing severe consequences for choosing herself. It’s heartbreaking and deeply unfair.
