URGENT: Help Sydney Find a Safe, Stable Home

Sydney has always been strong. For 17 years, she built her life in a home she loved — a place of safety, routine, and comfort. But in April 2024, everything changed. Through no fault of her own, she was evicted when her landlord decided to sell the property. After nearly two decades, Sydney suddenly had nowhere to go.

Since then, the local council has placed her in a series of Travelodges across the Bristol area — 13 months of constant moves, instability, and uncertainty. She’s currently living in one now, without even the basic ability to cook a meal for herself. This would be difficult for anyone — but for Sydney, it’s devastating.

Sydney is registered disabled. She lives with complex physical health issues that affect every part of her daily life. This constant upheaval has also taken a huge toll on her mental wellbeing, and she’s now in a state of chronic exhaustion and emotional distress.

While she receives 41 hours of care support a week through a local authority care package, even that is now at risk. The council offered her a property that did not meet her physical needs, and Sydney was forced to appeal — a brave but difficult decision. Now, she faces a hearing on June 23, 2025, and the outcome could remove her support entirely.

This is no longer just a housing issue. It’s an emergency.
