NEW INDOOR HEATED SWIM CENTRE ON THE COAST!

Hi, my name is Kelci, and I own and operate the Swim With Kelc Academy. Competing from a young age, swimming has always been my passion, and I love passing on my own experiences and knowledge to help make others feel safe and confident in the pool, all while having fun too! I firmly believe that being able to swim competently is an important life skill everyone should have. Swimming has many positives, such as building self-esteem – it can improve many people's health and well-being.

Within this area of the Costa Del Sol, we are lacking with pool facilities suitable for families with babies and young children and those who need extra assistance with mobility, especially in the winter. I am unsure why these facilities are not widely available here; however, Swim With Kelc Academy is determined to bring the changes we need with your help.

Having operated my swim school in Spain for over two years, I recognise our community's lack of a family-friendly, inclusive facility that makes every part of the swimming experience fun. Our area needs an indoor heated swimming pool that is welcoming from the moment you walk in the door, suitable for all ages and abilities and an encouraging learning environment that is easily accessible and allows for year-round swimming lessons and public access. 

That is why I am now looking to expand and bring more to the community with a family-orientated indoor heated pool facility where every visit will be memorable. Changing rooms will be equipped with baby changing tables and will ensure parents can get themselves and their children ready at ease. Disability access and regulated pool temperatures will be vital in the design. The Academy will offer public swimming sessions and a variety of classes, including:

- public swimming lane sessions

- swimming lessons for babies, children and adults

- swimming lessons/pool hire for schools and nurseries

- aqua-fit classes

- aqua-natal classes

- specialized aquaphobia sessions

-aquatic therapy/rehabilitation

-synchronised swimming

- pool party hire

And, of course, many new ideas to come in the future!

Our pool will be welcome to all – whether you’re a resident or visiting on holiday. This project will bring the community closer together and open up job and training opportunities.
