Hi everyone,

About a week ago, my friend and I found a senior pit bull abandoned near our neighborhood. He looked so tired, lost, and forgotten. We could tell right away that he wasn’t just a stray — he was someone’s dog once, but he hadn’t been cared for in a very long time.

We brought him home, gave him a comfortable place to sleep, and named him Amos (I've been nicknaming him Moe). Amos has been nothing but gentle and loving — despite everything I'm sure he’s been through, he still wags his tail and leans in for affection. He’s a total doll.

Amos is not in the best shape- yet. He has large skin tags, irritated skin, and has likely never received proper medical care. We took him to a wonderful local vet yesterday, 8/6/25, who offered a free exam, and she confirmed that he will need quite a bit of treatment to get healthy again.

His treatment plan includes:

  • Skin tag removal surgery (outpatient)- (not imminent, but a priority after the rest)
  • Vaccinations
  • Bloodwork to check for underlying issues
  • Medicated baths and treatment for skin infections
  • Ear culture, as she suspects an ear infection
  • Antibiotics for the ear infection
  • Pain relief and follow-up visits
  • Food, while we foster him

We’ve set a goal of $2,000 to cover Marley’s medical expenses. Taking care of our two senior disabled dogs is a lot already, so we’re asking for help because we can’t afford this on our own — but we can’t turn our backs on him either :(

If you’re able to donate, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. And if not, please consider sharing Moe's story — every bit of support helps us give him the second chance he deserves ❤️‍

With love and gratitude,
Alana and Kevin
