Red Door Collective, a group of tenants fighting for all renters in Nashville, is running this GoFundMe on behalf of Susan Whitaker.
Susan lost work during the COVID-19 pandemic and is in need of funds for rent and car repairs. She is securing a new job now, but has no way to get there without fixing her car. On top of all of this, Susan is a resident at Porter East Apartments in East Nashville. Earlier this year after a significant storm, Porter East experienced roof damage, had a huge leak that went unaddressed for months and damaged Susan's apartment. These funds will go to pay Susan's rent and car repairs so she can get back to her normal life without so much stress and frustration.
