Help Susan & Her Family Fight Covid-19

My name is Carly Jones, and Susan is my amazingly selfless sister-in-law and the light of my brother and her son's life.
When the world 'shut down' in March, Susan, a high school Spanish teacher at Oakland High School in Rutherford County, Tennessee, took all of her artistic and creative gifts and got to work. She made HUNDREDS of masks with her own money, and she distributed them to hospitals and nursing homes throughout the Nashville metropolitan area that needed them. She sent them to a handful of booster clubs and friends across the country. If she saw someone without a mask, she would ask them if they wanted one, and give them one on the spot. She made so many masks, and so many different kinds of masks upon request. She made masks until her sewing machine literally broke, and she had to borrow one from her mom. Her home dining room looks like a mask factory, and I wish I could show you!
During this shut down, Susan repeatedly said that if she contracted Covid-19, that she would not survive due to underlying issues. The time came for school to start back in session, and she was SO fearful to return to work - fearful for her students, friends, family, and her own health.
In mid-November, Susan's fear proved true. Susan's son, Daelin, who also attends Oakland High School, tested positive for Covid-19. Daelin quarantined separately from his parents, and after some time, tested negative. Susan was able to teach through long-distance-learning during this time, and Greg, a construction worker, took off from work to stay home as well. A week after Daelin tested negative, Susan tested positive. Her husband tested positive shortly thereafter. While Daelin and Greg have mostly recovered, Susan has not been as lucky. We are all praying so hard for Susan, and praying that she was wrong and pushes through this. She is currently fighting for her life in the ICU, where she has been on a ventilator for one week, as well as receiving dialysis.
I will leave this fundraiser up, and I will continue post updates as her condition changes. These funds will go towards Susan's medical expenses and continued care, as well as food, mortgage payments, and any other bills and necessities during this difficult time. Greg has been out of work due to his own bout with Covid-19 as well as his current family's state. He and Daelin are taking care of one another and are so broken without Susan, the glue that holds them all together.
Susan's husband, son, parents, family, and friends need her to come home. We need her to survive. She puts everyone else before herself, even so far as to put a friend through college many years ago. We don't know what we would do without her, and we need continued prayers that we don't have to go down that avenue, and we need A LOT of strength.
Thank you for your support and prayers.
