As some of you know I have had a very difficult time since learning about my inheritance last March. I spent over a year reaching out to one attorney after another without any result. The Indiana Statue of Limitations for Fraud is 6 years so I haven't given up entirely but I am in a deep financial hole. I have been able to give them some money toward my rent and I have also been in constant communication with them about my situation so they know I'm trying to remedy the situation but I am being threatened with a lawsuit and eviction. My lease expired April 2024 so I am living month to month so I think that legally I do have some protection. I started working two weeks ago but only got a partial check this week so I have to wait two more weeks for a full paycheck. I have been trying to get a loan but my credit is shot because I've borrow so much money to keep a roof over my head and my girls. I did tell the property manager to use my lease deposit of $997 to put toward my overdue rent and I am able to give them $400 on Monday but I still need help. I want very much to get ahead a little bit so I can move to a more affordable apartment before fall. I don't like begging for money especially from friends but I don't know what else to do.
