Help Susan Battle Breast Cancer

Donation protected
For anyone who has met my sister Susan you know that she is an unbelievably strong woman. She’s beautiful inside and out and has been the best friend to me since we were little girls. Our childhood was already NOT easy… far from easy. Susan not only suffers PTSD from severe childhood abuse but now on top of all the hard work she has done to deal with the emotional trauma now she has found herself battling breast cancer as a single mother.

Susan is the type of person that will go out of her way for her friends and family. She’s always been there for me when I’ve needed her. She used hard earned savings to help my little brother when he was going through hard times to try and get his life back together. She always thinks of other people and now she is doing everything in her power to help herself but what she needs is just a little help financially to get through this hurdle in her life.

Finding out you have breast cancer is already hard enough but for single moms who don’t have a partner to lean on it can be so much harder. Breast cancer alone can cause trauma and anxiety disorders and for someone who already battles these disorders it’s unbearable.

Susan has already had 2 surgeries. She requires 16 chemo treatments and when it’s over she will require radiation every day for a month and she will have to be on oral medications for 5 years.  She shaved her head last week due to hair loss and she's tried to remain positive and is still beautiful wearing a donated wig. She's putting on a brave face but the truth is she's going through unimaginable stress and anxiety and suffering through it all. Your donation no matter how small will help her so much.

In addition to her constant daily battles to survive PTSD and a lifetime of trauma, her new normal includes nausea, fatigue, hair loss,  joint pain, and multiple daily medical bills . All of these plus the fact that she wakes up every day knowing that cancer could take her away from her family and children that she cares so much about builds onto an already stressful situation, creating anxiety, financial uncertainty, and distress. Having to miss days of work and worrying about keeping her job leave her with a fear that she won't be able to make her monthly mortgage payments after working so hard to buy her first house this last year.

I know my sister and I know she will survive because she has always been surviver! I know that in part due to my sister Susan my childhood trauma was less than hers. She was the oldest of  7 kids and our father was a monster. She believed that the abuse she was taking from him was protecting her siblings…. even though he still abused the others. As a little girl her desire was to protect her siblings more than protect herself. She deserves to have someone in her corner. Please help her in any way you can… no donation is too small.
