Help Susan after emergency surgery; get accessible housing

Story

Susan had been living without accessible housing since hurricane Helene disrupted her plans. She was in between houses at the time of the hurricane and has had to make do with inaccessible conditions since then. As a motivated and high functioning paraplegic she was able to work around it until she fell and broke her hip which happened due to the inaccessible conditions she was dealing with. She had Emergency surgery April 19th, a subsequent 6 day hospital stay, then was transferred to Wake Forest rehab hospital where she is now and will be discharged home May 2nd, back to inaccessible living. Before this accident she was in the process of remodeling a house to make it work for her and was self contracting as well as working on everything that was possible for her to do herself, which has also now changed. She now faces huge challenges and setbacks and increased costs from her hip surgery and rehabilitation process which will be long and ongoing affecting her work and cost remodeling as well. She was working hard to have affordable and accessible living before this injury while navigating the complex situation she has with her disability and income prospects. In addition to all of this she has been caring for her dog with cancer and vet bills associated with that. Please contribute what you can to help her get back on track. Also please contact her if you are willing to provide free or reduced cost labor on her remodel or free or reduced cost help for her injury to her leg with stretching, exercise, and rides as she recovers.
