Susan is a retired teacher who dedicated her life to her students, their families, and her community. After losing everything in the devastating Paradise Fire, she rebuilt her life in a new neighborhood, always carrying her love for education and the people she served. Her compassion and commitment touched countless lives, and she remained a source of strength and kindness even after her world was turned upside down. 
 
 
 
 Recently, Susan was diagnosed with ALS, and her health has declined rapidly. She has lost the ability to walk, talk, or eat on her own. Despite these challenges, Susan continues to inspire those around her with her resilience and spirit. Now, there is a promising stem cell treatment that offers hope, but the medical expenses are overwhelming. Susan is scheduled to travel to New Jersey for this treatment on October 10, 2025, and timely support is crucial to help her access the care she needs.
