RPlaces Transition Centre has been available to the Brantford community for almost 7 years. We offer Peer Support, Anger Management, Self-Esteem,
Check-ins, and our new program Holistic Healing from the Heart: An Indigenous Perspective.
When we first started this process we noticed there was a gap in the social service and mental health agency for free programming, especially regarding anger management and self-esteem.
Two co-founders and I had to plan where we could best serve the community and what that would look like. With careful planning and research, we opened our doors in 2013.
We also offer placement students the opportunity to gain valuable experience frontline in the mental health and addictions field.
We now serve over 300 participants and countless placements students.
We also had the privilege of starting a new program called Holistic Healing from the Heart: An Indigenous Perspective which is also a free program offered to anyone in the community looking to start their healing journey.
Any donations obtained will be used to help keep and run RPlaces from rent, program supplies, utilities, taxes, insurance, etc.
Any and all donations small or big are greatly appreciated.
It has been an absolute pleasure to be able to support our community and offer free services. Just knowing we could put a smile on the face of a person who may be facing challenges; whether it be just a shared laugh, uplifting conversation, or support needs.
