Help in my mission to better Candian Mental Health

Don protégé
It all started in 2006 in Edinburgh, when a very close childhood friend of mine, Satish, was going through a relationship problem in his life. Unfortunately, at the same time, he lost his job and struggled to find any prospects for the next three months. On a Sunday morning - the 2nd of April - when I didn't hear back from him through all of Saturday, I took the first Lothian bus service (7.10 am) to get to his place. Here, I found out that my friend had committed suicide. Just like that, Satish was gone, just like that and I couldn’t believe it. He had been struggling deep down and I was never able to read it.

I have not forgiven myself yet for not being able to help him - someone who was closest to me. I have been practicing meditation from the very beginning of my life and that week I took a vow that I would spend the rest of my life spreading the message of mental health and wellness and teaching a meditative and yogic lifestyle to others. I was born into a family of Vedic Brahmin priests in India and learned the practice of meditation from our unbroken lineage who’d been practicing and teaching the yogic lifestyle for thousands of years. It was that day that I took a vow to help others like Satish.

And since then I made it my life’s mission to spread the message of mental health and wellness across the U.K., Europe, India, and Canada. In 2008, through my work, I was awarded as an Ambassador for Peace by the European Union. I’ve since taken a journey, living in 28 different cities, learning and working throughout the world, and striving to make an impact through teaching meditative and yogic lifestyle wherever I am.

The Pandemic affected us in the worst possible ways - social isolation, unemployment, economic downturn, relationships, parenthood, and the worse - losing family members. These issues have created a surge in mental health crises across our nation. We all know someone in our family or friends who are struggling. In this hour of need, I have decided to go coast-to-coast to spread mental health awareness. I will be going to 16 cities, in 21 days, (St. John’s, NFL to in Vancouver, BC.) through Canada, covering each province, and will teach proven meditation and yogic techniques, in order to help reduce stresses, tensions, anxiety, and depression, and instead bring purpose, confidence, centeredness and the right decision-making attitudes through this difficult time. I will conduct sessions in partnership with not-for-profit organizations, community centers, and yoga studios.

All of the services that I provide will be completely free of cost. I am very passionate about touching the lives of others in a positive way, but I know that passion alone will not cut it. I will need your help to fund this trip so that I can reach more than 2000 lives and hopefully can save others from taking the extreme steps that my friend Satish took. I will be broadcasting my trip so that more people can benefit from these sessions.

Your one small step by donating can help many with their Mental Health.
I will be more than happy to answer any questions you have. For more information about me and the work that I have been please visit veduneetu.com. I sincerely appreciate your support!
