Help Support Tim Brinker's Recovery

Tim Brinker was a pedestrian struck by a hit and run driver on December 1, 2020 while helping a stopped motorist on his way to work. Tim is a Superintendent for Green Street Construction, a Green Street St. Louis company.

As a result of the accident, Tim sustained numerous serious injuries, including a major concussion! He was put into a medically induced coma while multiple surgeries were performed on his pelvis, arm, wrist and leg. He spent 19 days in the Neuro-trauma ICU, another 9 in the hospital and 18 days at a physical rehabilitation center. We are happy to report that Tim is home, in true Tim fashion, ahead of schedule!

Unfortunately, the doctors could not save Tim’s right leg and he had to have it amputated above the knee. Once his leg is healed from surgery, Tim will be fitted for a prosthetic leg. Until then, Tim is bound to a wheelchair, and dependent on the assistance of others. Tim is scheduled for ongoing physical therapy to maintain his strength until he can begin the process of fulltime, intensive therapy to learn how to use his new leg.

As you can image, the above comes with outrageous medical bills. With even the best of insurance, not all of Tim’s expenses will be covered.  In addition, Tim wants to return to work and will need an advanced prosthetic and potential truck modifications to make that possible.
