Hi, My name is Earl Turner. I'm a psychologist and founder of Therapy for Black Kids (T4BK). In the wake of the pandemic and increasing racial injustice, I recognized the importance of addressing mental health among Black kids. T4BK was created to help parents deal with the challenges of racial injustice and foster resilience to promote healthy development. To help facilitate resources for parents and offer services to support the emotional wellness of Black youth, I formally launched Therapy for Black Kids in February of 2021. We have hosted numerous free virtual events (view archived content here) for parents on many topics, such as depression, the impact of racism on kids, and coping with anxiety.
The mission of Therapy for Black Kids is to offer educational information and resources to parents to promote healthy emotional development and resilience among Black children, teens, and their families.
With your help, we can offer more educational webinars and support groups for parents and youth. Our goal for 2023 is to provide vouchers to under-resourced families to cover the cost of therapy for their children.
Let's help our Black youth thrive! Make a contribution today to support the well-being of Black kids. Connect with T4BK on Instagram or Facebook.
