<div>Recently, their brave son Mason, a happy and cheeky 2-year-old little boy - full of life and love, was found to have a tumour on his adrenal gland and a calcified kidney. Following 2 weeks of scans and tests Mason was diagnosed with neuroblastoma – a life-altering moment for this young, loving family. He is currently undergoing treatment at The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.

<div><strong>Their Story:</strong>

<div>After weeks of pushing/fighting/begging for answers and some incredibly tough days, they finally received some answers on Wednesday the 16th of July. Mason had been experiencing awful symptoms for over a month, which had intensified significantly in the past two weeks. His X-ray and ultrasound revealed a tumour on his adrenal gland, as well as a calcified kidney.

<div>Mason and Phoebee were flown to Melbourne the same day, where a hospital bed was waiting, along with an oncologist and the most incredible medical team already prepared and investigating - they couldn’t be in a better place!
</div>
<div>Brody &amp; the girls flew to Melbourne on Thursday the 17th of July, all were incredibly grateful to all be together as a family.
</div>

<div>Mason has undergone so many scans, Ultrasounds and MRI’s, with more still to come - such as a PET scan to confirm it hasn’t spread. These initial scans confirmed something no parent ever wants to hear — a cancer diagnosis (neuroblastoma).
</div>

</div>
<div>They have since found out the seizures (one of the original symptoms) he has had for the past year are linked to neuroblastoma &amp; called Opsoclonus-myoclonus ataxis. Mason is currently being kept out of pain with very strong pain relief &amp; antinausea meds around the clock which is helping him nibble &amp; sip here and there too, he sadly hasn’t gained any of the weight lost back yet (another symptom) - but he was actually starting to nibble &amp; drink which is a huge win for the family after weeks of him sobbing his hungry then refusing to eat or drink anything! It has been so nice for Mum and Dad seeing his pain drop dramatically with help of the meds &amp; him get some relief - helping him be a bit more like the cheeky Mason he usually is!

<div>They met with the Chief of Surgery who decided to hold off until all scans are done before going into surgery.
</div>

<div>The Mayne Family are now facing a long road of the unknown - filled with an initial surgery (No date set just yet), medical treatments, emotional stress, travel expenses, time away from work, uncertainty of how long they will be required to be in Melbourne, and more.
</div>

</div>
<div>As Mason fights with incredible courage, his family are doing all they can to stay by his side - However, they are slowly feeling the financial strain.
</div>
<div>The Mayne family doesn’t yet know how long they’ll be away from home in Tasmania, but they are doing everything they can to stay strong for Mason.
</div>

<div>The Family are deeply moved by the outpouring of support from those around them and feel incredibly grateful and overwhelmed by the kindness they’ve received. However, their journey is just beginning, and the road ahead is filled with uncertainty.
