Help support the homeless of Medway

Donation protected
Homelessness can happen to anyone. We work with a wide variety of people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. People who experience difficulties in their lives, such as an unhappy family life, mental or physical health problems, addictions or even a spell of unemployment can find themselves homeless. Many homeless people have complex needs. Every individual is different and needs support tailored to them. We aim to enable people to live independently. We aim to support people to overcome barriers and to make a positive difference to their lives. We work with partners such as the local council, health services, the police, shelters, hostels and various charities who offer support to the homeless.

We need your help to raise money to continue providing our services . Donations are vital to the strength and continuation of our projects. Without you, we wouldn't be able to fund our vital services to support some of the most vulnerable people in Medway, Maidstone and Sittingbourne. All donations go a long way.

We offer a service to the local homeless community in Medway, Maidstone and Sittingbourne by providing hot food/ drinks, camping essentials, general every day food/ drink, clothes and toiletries on a daily basis to the homeless. We also run soup kitchens in Chatham every Thursday and Maidstone every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. We have Chatham outreach Monday, Wednesday and Friday too. We have ongoing fundraising campaigns in order to help us support individuals with clothing, food, replacement IDs and rehabilitation costs. We also receive clothing/ camping donations from the public which we hand out and are very grateful for. We also receive donations for our fundraising page on Facebook. We attend/ arrange various meetings with the homeless in connection to housing and addictions. We have teamed up with Arriva buses who have provided us with free travel scratch cards for these meetings. We have also linked up with Strood Chiropody & Podiatry in order to be able to book the homeless free appointments there too. We are able to help with their benefits and we also remind them of their vital appointments. We have linked up with Headhunters salon in Rochester and have some days lined up where they will be offering a free wash/ haircut to the homeless. Alongside this we also have a bookshelf in The Baobab Tree Centre in Chatham which provides the homeless with free books. We are also lucky to have a nurse on our team who provides medical assistance when required.
