On the evening of March 28th we received a phone call stating that my mother had been found unresponsive on the side of the road in her vehicle. They transported her to Longview regional where she had a cat scan that showed a heemoragic stroke. The bleed is in the center of her brain stem. It is inoperable due to the placement of the bleed. She is currently on a ventilator because she is unable to breath on her own. She is comfortable and in no pain at the time. I was told by the neurosurgeon that there were only two options. Delay the inevitable or keep her alive on the machine. Being 25 and in total shock I’m unable to make a descions at this time. Justin her son is on his way home currently from the military to help me in this descions process. Kameron (16yrs old) who lives with her and is current in 10th grade is taking it very hard as well. She is and was loved by many and the best Mimi we could ask for. Tonight I am asking for first prayers in the up coming days. Lost of unknowns and heart ache at this time. She is at Longview regional. My mother had no health insurance or life insurance plan. Second I’m asking for Finacial help to pay for bills and arrangements . Kameron will stay with us for the time being until we can figure out the next step . Please pray for my mother. Pray for Justin and I in the days ahead. Thank you for your time. -Lauren.
