<div>2 years ago my older brother (Stephen) started going through some health struggles. It started with things like elbow pain, back and hip pain. Gradually getting worse over time he didn’t have any answers, and doctors continued to tell him he was perfectly healthy. About 7 months ago it reached a point where Stephen had to reduce his hours at work due to extreme pain and discomfort. At this point he has spent thousands and thousands of dollars over months and months to be told he is fine. He was put on ani anxiety and depression meds despite advocating for himself that is NOT what he needed. And the meds just made things worse. He has done so much research, and found some diagnosis he thought matched his condition, all of which were shot down with negative tests. One test in particular being Lyme disease. Stephen is not a doctor, and doesn’t have the medical expertise to know that a negative Lyme disease test is common, sometimes even more than one negative test. Lyme was what Stephen was most convinced he had. A little while after that negative test he did a deeper dive into Lyme, and discovered that he matched up perfectly with the timeline and symptoms, as well as the information about false negatives. He said to hell with my doctors and got testing from a functional medicine doctor. They immediately confirmed he was in fact NOT a healthy young man. The “red” zone for inflammation in your body is a number above 0.99. Stephen’s inflammation number was 28.7. My brother is getting married in a few months and has spent the better part of the last year bedridden, shelling out thousands to be told he’s perfectly healthy, while suffering from Lyme disease.
