Jean is a single mum of two boys in December of 2021 her youngest son Stephen18yrs old took sick with just a pain in his neck unfortunately not even a month later Stephen was diagnosed with a stage 4 tumor on the stem of his brain Stephen then had three operations to remove most of the tumour and a permanent shunt inserted to drain the fluid off which has also has effected Stephen's sight and balance.
Unfortunately Jean and Stephen were told that it's Incurable here in Ireland.
So with alot of research and consultations we have been intouch with a hospital in the U.S that is showing positive results with a young boy 14 from Donegal.
So as you can imagine with this comes with huge expense we have worked out that its coming to the cost of €300.000 So this is why we are reaching out to try get the public behind Jean and Stephen to start into the programme in the U.S
It's hard to say this out in a message let alone to speak about it but this is the only positive chance that Stephen has of survival and Jean like any mother is prepared to speak and tell her story and ask the people of Ireland to get behind Stephen.
Stephen and his mum Jean live alone together. Jean has worked hard all her life for her two boys to give them all she could but at this moment she feels helpless. She is unable to work as she needs to take care of her youngest boy. Stephen's mum family and friends world has been turned upside down. Stephen was on a high dependency ward in Beaumont Hospital Dublin which as you can imagine is heart wrenching for any parent or family member.
Stephen has great fighting spirit and is determined to beat this. He has a long road ahead is already thinking about getting back to his family and friends as soon as he can.
So please help in any small way possible. Any donations big or small also a share on social media will be greatly appreciated.
