Help Support Serge Lepine

Three weeks ago our friend Serge was a fit, healthy man caring for his family and preparing for Christmas. Early Christmas morning he was rushed by ambulance from Swift Current, where he lives, to Regina, where doctors found a large tumor in his kidney. The cancer had also spread to his inferior vena cava. For the last week his wife, Brenda, has been at his side, on leave for her job selling travel and insurance, and Serge, who supports through his window-cleaning business in the spring and summer, is unable to work for the forseeable future. Treatment for Serge -
after just finding out that it is operable -will include open heart surgery at the heart hospital in Edmonton, and kidney removal, requiring extensive travel and more time away from home (and therefore in hotel rooms) for Brenda and their children. When our friends are suffering we often feel helpless and wonder how we can help. In this case. Brenda and Serge could use your financial support as they navigate their way through this new, frightening diagnosis.
