Help Support Prof. Figueroa

My name is Adan Figueroa and I am currently a lecturer at a University in North Carolina. On the morning of August 21st, the first day of class of fall 2017, I suffered a life changing experience. While teaching my second class off the day, I began to feel dizzy and lightheaded. My students came to my aide and assisted in calling an ambulance. I could hear all that was happening to me, but I could not respond to anyone. The ambulance arrived and took me to CHC Union, Monroe,NC for emergency treatment. It turned out that I was experiencing a stroke. An hour after arriving to the hospital, I was airlifted to CHC Notheast in Concord, NC where my treatment continued for almost three weeks.

While I was on my third day of intensive care at CHC Northeast, the NC State Troopers rang the doorbell of my residence to inform my wife that my 2017 Nissan Pathfinder had been found crashed in a ditch.  When I had the stroke at the university, my vehicle was parked at the cafeteria parking lot. During my harrowing ordeal, someone seized that moment and took advantage of my vulnerability to steal, joyride, and subsequently destroy my vehicle. This was the only vehicle I had to commute to work, run errands, take my kids to school, assist my soccer club, etc. I am seeking support to remedy my current transportation plight during my recovery.
