My name is Matt Reissig, and I’m using this platform to raise funds for medical expenses for my 8-year-old dog, Phil.

I adopted Phil five years ago; he has always been in excellent health until recently. During a recent visit to Cornell Animal Hospital, Phil was examined for epistaxis (nosebleeds) ,discharge from his left eye, and an abnormal soft tissue growth on the left side of his cranium. He was discharged with pain medication and a sedative in preparation for his next appointment.

The veterinarian plans to perform a CT scan under anesthesia to better understand the nature and cause of the abnormality. Based on the results, it’s likely that surgery will be the next step.

Phil is family to me & I’m doing my best to raise the necessary funds to help cover these medical expenses. Thank you for your time, your consideration, and for anything you may be able to contribute to help Phil.

Based on vet recommendations and typical cost estimates, I’ve set a goal of $6,000 to cover Phil’s CT scan, anticipated surgery or additional procedures, and recovery care. If actual costs are lower, any remaining funds will go toward Phil’s continued care, follow up appointments, or be donated to local shelters to help other animals in need.
