Botanical Alchemists Community Outreach Projects

Hello! This is the Botanical Alchemists, Ava Barany and Sarah Edwards. We are two passionate women creating unique floral artworks in Spokane, Washington and beyond. We are seeking funding to support our Community Outreach Projects. 

Nature art has been incredibly impactful in our lives. We create to honor Mother Earth and to nurture the human spirit. Maybe you've stumbled upon one of our creations in the community? Perhaps you have walked the stone labyrinth or found one of our large floral installations at your local park? Has our art made a positive impact in your life?

 

Until this point, the majority of our nature projects have been funded from our own pockets. We do this because we are passionate about making a difference via art in our beloved community. We believe nature art has the power to transform spaces, hearts and lives. Sharing this gift with others is one of our highest priorities. Do you feel called to help us with our mission?

 

Today we are humbly asking for your financial support to aid us in successfully launching and sustaining our wide array of Community Outreach Projects. These include our public nature art pieces as well as a host of nature art workshops we offer at no cost to participants. Your donation means we are able to continue to provide these experiences free to our local community.

 

In early 2020 we received a SAGA arts grant for our 4-part, free to the public, Nature Art Workshop Series. Due to the pandemic, the series was postponed. This gave us the opportunity to grow and enrich the program as well as expand our local audience. Each workshop will offer all the supplies and instruction for each person to create their own nature artwork, followed by the opportunity to participate in a large collaborative creation.

 

We are so excited to be launching the series in Spring 2022! Your donation will help make this a reality. While the grant covers part of our budget, we have a ways to go to reach our goal. We want this endeavor to truly be as far reaching, inclusive and colorful as possible.

 

Over the last two years, so many of you have asked how you can support us. First and foremost, keep loving on the art. Go outside and walk around it. Connect with Mother Earth and give her a little attention. We hope our art facilitates a unique and enriching experience between you, the flowers and the Earth. We believe our art is about the collective experience, not necessarily a piece owned by any specific person.
