I am reaching out to you all today because my beloved baby girl, MJ Tarman, AKA “Phatgirl” has recently experienced a medical emergency, and I am asking you to please consider the cause.

MJ was a Labrador mix “rescue” that most definitely became a RESCUE to my broken heart, in my season of grief. She has been my source of joy and healing after the loss of my Grandmother in 2016.

My Phatgirl loves to play in the water, enjoys long hikes, and mostly enjoys our exclusive snuggle times! (She’s the older sister of 2 dogs, and 2 cats).

This past Thursday, I noticed she was not being herself and began to lose her fluids uncontrollably. I immediately took her in for an assessment.

On 3/29/2025, the Vet recommended multiple procedures: a Splenectomy (to remove her spleen) as well as a dreaded biopsy (to rule out cancer) on an identified tumor. I am devastated, but remain hopeful.

The estimated cost for these procedures is $8,000.00 and this is a significant financial burden, that I am asking you to consider donating towards.
