On September 6th, Leah Skiba Zuniga received the worst news any wife and mother could get: her husband Jon Zuniga was killed while on a hiking trail in Idyllwild, Ca from a rockslide that hit him and his brother (his brother survived, however is injured.) Jon was active duty in the Navy, set to deploy overseas in one month’s time.
Jon is survived by his beautiful wife Leah, his beloved son Trevor, and by a little girl due in late January. Leah has become a widow and single mother overnight. Their son Trevor also has special needs; he has a rare chromosome 13 deletion that requires Leah to remain a stay-at-home mom to provide the best care possible for him.
This Go Fund Me account is endorsed by Leah Skiba Zuniga to help raise funds that will go directly to her to help her continue to be the best mother possible though this incredibly tragic time.
