<div>Our friend and fellow small business owner, Kate, has been dealt an unimaginable challenge. Her husband, Dan, was recently diagnosed with ALS, a cruel and fatal disease that gradually robs people of their mobility and independence. Despite the heartbreak, Kate's resilience and positivity have been unwavering, and she's continued pouring her heart into her business Sweet as Candy, all while caring for her family and facing a devastating future. If anyone has had the pleasure of meeting Dan, aka Mr. Sweet as Candy, you know how amazingly awesome he is. He is Kate's everything along with their 2 kids, 9 year old Gwen and 4 year old Oscar.

Our goal is to raise $50,000 to help with the home modifications needed to give Dan the care he deserves as his illness progresses, as well as give the family the financial freedom to enjoy the time they have left together.
